The convertible is marketed as the Mazda MX-5 Miata/miˈɑːtə/ in North America, where it is widely known as the Miata, and as the Eunos Roadster (ユーノス・ロードスター, Yūnosu Rōdosutā) or Mazda Roadster (マツダ・ロードスター, Matsuda Rōdosutā) in Japan.
